Gratitude, Healing, and Hope: A Thanksgiving Update from Madina Village School
Thanksgiving Update

As the year draws to a close and we enter this season of gratitude, we want to pause and reflect on all the ways your generosity has transformed lives in Madina. Every prayer, every gift, and every encouraging word has strengthened both the Madina Village School and the Health Center in ways that matter deeply.

This year, more than ever, we are reminded that impact is built on simple acts of faithfulness—one lesson taught, one patient cared for, one child given a chance to dream. And for all of this, we say:

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Your kindness has made 2025 a year of growth, hope, and healing.

Keeping Students Close to Home

One of this year’s biggest milestones is that Madina now has all three Junior Secondary School (JSS) classes—JSS 1, JSS 2, and JSS 3—on campus. In years past, students had to leave their families and travel to neighboring towns to continue middle school. This year, thanks to you, they stayed home.

That decision has transformed daily life.

With more students than classroom space, teachers are creatively managing the schedule:

  • Younger children arrive in the mornings, learning through early afternoon.
  • Older students start at noon and continue until nearly dusk.

Their commitment is extraordinary—and it also highlights an important need:
We’re ready for another school building.
The dream is growing, and the community is growing with it.

Strengthening Community Health

At the Health Center, your support has allowed us to expand staffing and quality of care. Our team can now safely care for overnight patients, while continuing to serve many walk-in cases during the day.

The photo below offers a real glimpse into the work happening daily—compassionate medical care delivered with dignity and love:

These are the moments made possible by your generosity:
a mother recovering comfortably, a patient receiving IV medication, a team of nurses providing care late into the evening. Lives are being restored because you chose to invest in hope.

A Personal Story of Healing

This year, our “Patient #1” was someone very close to this mission—Francis Mustapha, the founder of Madina Village School.

On Halloween, Francis fell seriously ill with severe typhoid fever. The Health Center team acted quickly, providing immediate care that brought his fever under control and set him on the path to recovery.

Francis is now feeling stronger than ever, and his story stands as a powerful example of the essential role the Health Center plays in Madina.
Your support ensured that help was close at hand when it was needed most.

Gratitude Today and Hope for Tomorrow

As we reflect on the blessings of this year, we are filled with gratitude—for God’s provision, for the tireless efforts of our teachers and nurses, and for you, our faithful partners.

Your generosity has kept students learning, families supported, and lifesaving medical care available in the heart of the community.

Thank you for believing in this mission.
Thank you for being part of this story.
And thank you for making 2025 a year of remarkable impact.
